September � Fall Snake Road Trip in Larue-Pine Hills research natural area (often referred to as �snake road�) in Shawnee National Forest. Twice a year a migration happens as the snakes move between the wintering areas in the bluffs and the adjacent swamps. We hit the migration just right last spring and the group had an amazing trip. We hope our timing will be good again this fall. The area is protected and no collecting of any kind is permitted and there are venomous snakes in the area.
