Membership

Our society has many benefits to offer its members including monthly newsletters and meetings which feature field-specific talks and demonstrations, monthly field trips during the summer months (Red River Gorge, Shawnee National Forest, Shawnee State Forest, Daniel Boone National Forest, Oglebay State Park, Great Smoky Mountains National Park and more), educational and research grants, discounted rates with local breeders, veterinarians, supply stores, and much more!

Membership is open to anyone having an interest in herpetology, regardless of level of their experience in that field, and having a firm commitment to the welfare of reptiles and amphibians.� As members of the Greater Cincinnati Herpetological Society, you would have access to all of our monthly meetings, educational resources and programs, a wide variety of individuals well versed in herpetology, and herpetoculture, our monthly newsletter, and discounted rates for reptile-related businesses in our area. We are a great way to meet like-minded individuals who appreciate and enjoy herpetology. We offer many field-trips, weekend herpetology-trips, volunteer opportunities, and much more!

We meet the first Wednesday of every month at 7:00pm. Normally, our meetings are held at Rowe Woods, Cincinnati Nature Center at 4949 Tealtown Road in Milford, OH; however we occasionally hold a special meeting elsewhere. Changes to our normal meeting dates/times/locations are posted on our website, announced at previous meetings, and are sent to our email group.
