February 2009 Meeting: Mike Schornak: Indian Adventure

Mike Schornak has been a member of the GCHS since 2002. Currently a senior at Colerain High School, he will be attending Miami University (Hamilton Branch) next year and will major in Zoology. Mike?s primary herp interests are in snakes and crocodilians although he is always willing to take any opportunity to work with any herps. He has volunteered at the Newport Aquarium and had the opportunity to work with their herp collection as well a many other animals.
Recently, Mike took a trip to the western area of India where he spent most of his time (one month) in the region known as the Western Ghats. His talk will pertain to all of the herps that he saw and other animals and ?interesting things? that he encountered on his trip.
